Allies in Hope
Previously AIDS Foundation Houston, Allies in Hope has been a community leader for over 40 years with the mission to end the HIV epidemic in the greater Houston area. Let’s eliminate the stigma behind HIV and STIs. We encourage everyone to get tested and know their status. Allies in Hope offers free HIV and STI testing that is fast, simple, and completely confidential. To better serve our community, other programs are also available including community including housing, a food pantry, case management and onsite clinic.
Fundación Latinoamericana de Accion Social, Inc (FLAS Inc.)
FLAS, Inc. offers a range of programs and social services to support the LGBTQ+ community, including behavioral health, substance use treatment, HIV/STD counseling and testing, food assistance, and referrals to other services.
Hatch Youth/Hatch Jr.
A program of the Montrose Center, Hatch Youth is Houston’s oldest, currently active social group dedicated to empowering LGBTQIA+ youth between the ages of 7 and 20 (Hatch Jr. is 7-12, Hatch Youth is 13-20). Hatch Youth groups provide a safe and affirming environment where youth can socialize, make new friends, and engage in educational and creative activities to help youth in and around Houston not just survive, but thrive.
LHI Houston
A program of the Montrose Center, LHI Houston is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to eliminating barriers to healthcare and promoting health and wellness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+)-identified women, along with all transgender and non-binary individuals through collaborative and integrated education, access, and advocacy programs.
Legacy Community Health
Legacy Community Health is a full-service health care system comprised of over 50 locations in the Texas Gulf Coast region offering adult and senior primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, behavioral health, dental, HIV/AIDS care, vision, specialty care, and pharmacy services. For over 40 years, Legacy has been innovating the ways we provide comprehensive, quality health care services to underserved communities. As the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Texas and a United Way affiliated agency since 1990, Legacy ensures its services and programs are open to all, regardless of the ability to pay—without judgment or exception.
Montrose Grace Place
Every Monday and Thursday at 6:00pm, Montrose Grace Place opens its doors to homeless youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities who are between the ages of 13 and 24 years old. Youth night is an evening of food, mentorship, and skills building. The youth and volunteers share a seated, family-style meal followed by an interactive lesson, craft, or other activity. Additionally, youth are able to “shop” in our closet of donated supplies, which include clothing, shoes, toiletries, bus cards, and snacks.
Save Our Sisters United, Inc.
Save Our Sisters United empowers, connects, and mobilizes Trans people of color and women of ethnic minority through self and community empowerment, while better-educating society on anti-norms, stigma, gender biases, and trauma.
the Law Harrington Senior Living Center
The Law Harrington Senior Living Center is the Montrose Center’s comprehensive approach to support seniors, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. The complex features one- and two-bedroom, independent living apartments for low-income seniors ages 62 and older, with rents adjusted based on Area Median Income. Seniors will be able to age with dignity and pride in a stable, safe, and affirming community, with access to specialized services and support.
The Mahogany Project
The Mahogany Project provides supportive services, ranging from emergency housing resource navigation, food pantry, clothing closet, and case management support. In addition, we provide recreational and arts activities- from our media center/recording studio to painting classes to community celebrations- all with the aim of providing empowerment and safety for communities who have nowhere else to turn to for peer-led support.
the Montrose Center
Founded in 1978, the Montrose Center is Houston’s LGBTQ+ resource center, providing a wide array of services and programs, including: outpatient treatment for alcohol and substance use recovery, violence survivor services regarding domestic violence, sexual assault, hate crimes and human trafficking through the Anti-Violence Program, HIV/STI testing and community health screenings, education and outreach, support groups, and programs designed specifically to meet the needs of youth and seniors, and more.
Tony’s Place
Tony’s Place provides a diverse set of services to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ youth under the age of 25 (ages 13 – 25). Core Services for Tony’s Place include: basic needs services, case management program, peer support groups, process groups, education, advocacy, and more.
